Spiritual Realms


In the quest for ascension the spiritual and material realms are often seen as being in opposition.   This comes from a lack of understanding of the coherence of purpose of being.   

Many disciplines teach that by removing material influences you are clarified to attain spiritual pursuits.  This is often misconstrued in its implications.   The concept that by removing attachment to material things is accurate in that the maya of the physical manifestations of the universe can be seen as a distraction.  It is only that one is without the physical props that one can see clearly.   

This is true, to the extent that this clarity is finally reached in the moment of transition where the physical vanishes only leaving the spirit to evaluate its condition without the psychic props of bonded material influence.   When free of the physical form, the body of matter, the spirit is free to journey.

The next revelation of course is that it is the props which create the story and the interactions that give rise to awareness.   The physical element of food gives sustenance to the physical nourishment of the body, which makes the mind free.   When the mind is free the spirit can explore its new environment and conditions and take into considerations matters of conscious choice in its full embodiment.

Just as the structure of matter at the atomic and deeper levels defines the object that it manifests as, so do the more ethereal realms of thought give energy to manifest matter.    Thus we find ourselves in the condition which reflects our basic psychic nature.   That which surrounds us helps us to explain where and what we are at the deepest level.

The concept of letting go of material things is valid in the sense of non-attachment.   As these are props that we surround ourselves with we are free to take action to change our circumstances at any time.  If we are properly psychically aligned then we allow ourselves to master these transitions.

The ascetic approach works fine until we have reached the conclusion that we are enslaved by our bodies, our appetites for food, for material sustenance and then the moment of clarity arrives.   We either choose to relinquish our physical form, rely on others to bring us that which we desire or we take the course of action and seek out a way to put food in our belly.  Until we do so, we suddenly realize how strongly integrated our physical and spiritual worlds are when entwined in the experience of reality.

By extension, all other material comforts operate on the same principle.  A key realization on the quest for enlightenment is the concept of self-actualization, a taking of action.

The difference between basking in the material world and being distracted by its presence is an awareness of the here and now.   Once conscious attention is devoted to solving the basic issues of materialism, and a distinction is made between the essential and non-essential, much more becomes clear.

The other element that becomes clear, is that our sense of purpose is much more clearly chartered.   We have learned both the lesson of the interconnection of the physical and spiritual but also the lesson of clarity of purpose.  

The next phase in the cycle is to apply the sense of purpose into action.   By understanding how our actions and thoughts create our universe, and how the lack of materialism creates pressing circumstances which inhibit our spiritual growth and opportunities to expand our influence, we begin down the long path of consciously interacting with the physical universe to align our visionary influence.

Faced with an awareness of both the need to eat, prosper and yet remain separate from the illusions of the physical we seek to align these paths so that we can create  the tools within ourselves to expand our vision to our circle of influence.    This transition is much like the ripple that is created at the aha moment of insight.   It is a form of illumination that is as important to ascension as is the cause which triggered the realization.  

As awareness rises, the spiritual being is no longer trapped by the constraints of materialism, but rather accepts these things as tools to extend their influence.   By aligning purpose and consciously creating their environment the being learns to use its resources effectively.  As skill in this grows, the environment that the being exists in changes to reflect the acceptance of the beings destiny.

Detachment serves in selecting surroundings not just for comfort and idle enjoyment, but to inspire and illuminate others so that they can tread this path.  By not placing more importance on the props than the actors, the actor becomes free to express their true nature and expand their teachings.  

A key element in this transition is the clarity between what is necessary and useful, and that which is unessential.   The ascending being looks around at the environment their mind, spirit and actions have created and realizes they are free to change their surroundings, actions and props to suit the goal they are working towards.   By meditation and visualization the path is created within to create the surroundings that match the spiritual growth  needs of the being.  When the being is aligned in purpose then it realizes it is no longer in need of materialistic surroundings, but that its environment is incredibly useful for creating the circumstances for growth and prosperity both in the material and spiritual sense.

These paths are not divergent, except to the point of attaining the clarity of what is necessity and what is a prop.  Once this realization is reached, props can be arranged, accumulated or discarded without concern.   The aligned being chooses props that serve purpose and remove obstacles to growth and awareness.

When asceticism is renounced amazing things happen.  The door to prosperity is opened and reality floods the initiate with awareness of the beauty of bonding the physical, spiritual and material planes.   The candidate becomes free to select from the offerings of his environment and create an atmosphere which is conducive to action.  The tools of attraction are unlocked and the being begins to more fully grow into their full potential.   

Awareness and action combine to align the spiritual purpose by attracting those people and circumstances which give greater reach to the message of the spiritual person within.  Aware of the temptations to slip into material patterns that are sub-optimal the initiate begins to optimize.

The full clarity of realization is when the being comes to an awareness of how their influence and ideas are spreading.   They are able to reach more people, attune more people and assist in guiding others along the spiritual path of awareness.    By carefully managing the symbols of their environment without being bonded to them, the ascension begins to accelerate.   

Each step in this journey is ideally taken with full intent of action, and then consummation of that action so that the intent is realized.   By being aware of what they are doing, and why they are doing the things they are the being comes into a deeper and more transcendent state of awareness.   
The possessions, the maya, which previously enslaved and bonded them now are realized to be there to be used as needed.   The best tool for the job is provided, by having a clear intent of the purpose of the task which is to be attended to.   The possessions now become tools, catalysts for inspiring awareness in others and a conscious reflection of the choices the being has made on the path to growth.

Having sated their own hunger, the initiate is now free to assist others in doing so.  No longer enslaved by ravenous appetites, but simply creating what is needed and using according to a clear understanding of form and function the adept transcends the initiate status and chooses selectively.

This process is important on the global level as well as the individual level, waste and indulgence is recognized for what it is, and goals are carefully addressed.  By demonstrating the understanding of what is necessary and what is not, the adept finds that they have created a more conducive environment for further progress and illumination.  As the acts of selecting the surroundings are conscious and in alignment with the beings need for growth, extraneous things are rejected and that which is vital is understood and cherished.   This process removes waste and clutter from the system while replacing that maya with the results that are envisioned.    This process is continued and refined and the vision becomes one of greater clarity and strength.   The adepts skill is reflected by the quality of their environment and its functionality in suiting their purpose.

As this alignment continues the connected aspects of physical, spiritual and material prosperity shine a bright path which attracts others who are ready to open their awareness.  The need for a faster car is balanced with a respect of the materials used and consumed over that vehicle’s lifetime.   The utility of the vehicle itself is fully understood and weighed into the circumstances.  That which is useful and vital is accepted, that which is not is rejected.

It is this sense of ascended awareness which allows the adept to raise the consciousness of those he can reach.
